Gregory Cuculino, M.D., Elected President
of Taylor Hospital's Medical, Dental Staff

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 2009

Gregory Cuculino, M.D., was elected to a two-year term as president of Taylor Hospital’s Medical and Dental Staff effective July 1, 2009.

RIDLEY PARK, Pa.— Gregory Cuculino, M.D., was elected to a two-year term as president of Taylor Hospital’s Medical and Dental Staff effective July 1, 2009.

Cuculino is a six-year member of Taylor’s medical staff who specializes in emergency medicine. He has served as chairman of Taylor Hospital’s Emergency Department since 2003, and prior to that was an attending physician at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. In addition, Cuculino served as the first vice president of the hospital’s Medical and Dental Staff until elected to his most recent position.

“Being elected president of the Medical and Dental Staff is truly an honor,” says Cuculino. “To be held in the same regard as past presidents, such as Eric Heffelfinger, D.O., and Dennis Cronin, M.D., is a true distinction. Their unbridled devotion to the Medical and Dental Staff and to the success of Taylor Hospital was evident in every action that they took. With the help of everyone affiliated with Taylor Hospital, we will continue our push for excellence in patient safety, patient satisfaction and employee satisfaction. It is my objective to make sure we achieve these goals.”

“Gregory Cuculino is one of Taylor Hospital’s most valued and trusted physicians,” says Diane Miller, president of Taylor Hospital. “His experience and dedication to patients, the hospital and the medical staff will make Dr. Cuculino an exceptional leader. I am confident that he will serve all his constituents well in his position as President.”

Cuculino earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He completed his residency with the Medical Center of Delaware Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Del. He is a member of the Medical Executive Committee, the Sepsis Committee, the Medical Staff Services Committee, the Joint Policy Committee, the Credentials Committee, the Hospital Services Committee, and is co-chair of the Taylor Stroke Committee. Cuculino also serves as the EMS Medical Command Physician for Taylor.

Recently, medical staff officers and clinical chairmen were elected and approved by Taylor Hospital’s Board of Directors. The medical staff officers have been elected to a two-year term effective July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2011. Chiefs and chairmen were elected to a four-year term on July 1, 2007. Term is effective through June 30, 2011.
